Dr Avnish Seth is the Director of Gastroenterology/Hepatobiliary Sciences at Fortis memorial Research Institute. He completed his MBBS from the Armed Forces medical College at Pune; He has done his MD (Medicine) from Pune University and DM (gastroenterology) from PIGMER University Chandigarh. Before Joining Fortis, he was the part of Armed Forces Hospital, where he was responsible for the successful establishment of liver transplant program. For this reason, he was awarded with Vishisht Seva Medal Program by the President of India back in 2009. He has over 100 publications in his name. His areas of interest entail Therapeutic GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound, Hepatitis B, hepatitis C, liver transplantation, and deceased organ donation. He has also be pro-active in promoting health awareness programs through various platforms.
