  • Smoking-The women who smoke are at a greater risk of suffering from heart condition than men who smoke. 
  • Menopause- After menopause the low level of estrogen in the body creates the high risk of development of cardiac condition in smaller blood vessels.
  • Cancer therapies- The chemotherapy and radiation therapy that are used to treat the cancer more specifically the breast cancer can result in the development of cardiac condition.
  • Pregnancy- During pregnancy the women may suffer from diabetes and high blood pressurethat in turn puts them at the high risk of developing heart condition.

Ways to prevent heart conditions in woman

It is not so difficult to reduce the risk of cardiac condition in women as it may appear. Just making certain lifestyle changes as mentioned below can help you in doing it.  Here are the few things that you can do reduce your risk of developing the cardiac condition in woman-

  1. Both men and women can reduce their risk of heart condition by saying no to smoking. If you are a non-smoker then it is very good and if you smoke make sure to quit it as soon as possible.
  2. Practicing the active lifestyle and exercising regularly can also assist in reducing the risk.
  3. Maintaining the healthy weight is another thing that can help.
  4. Eating the diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains , low fat dairy products and lean.
