The most common indicator of cardiac attack in man is the severe chest pain as we all have seen in multiple movies.
However, it is not always that severe and prominent symptom specifically in women. There are cases wherein women may suffer from cardiac without the severe chest pain. The chest pain in women may be described by them as the pressure or tightness.
The reason behind is that women tend to have blockages not only in their main arteries but also in the smaller arteries that supply blood to the heart.
Many women often ignore the symptoms of the heart attack that is the reason women tend to show up in emergency rooms after heart damage has already occurred. However, it is imperative for every woman to be able to recognize the warning signs and symptoms of the cardiac attack at the initial stage only, see a doctor regularly, and learn about their family history.
Discomfort or chest pain- It is one of the most common symptoms of heart attack in men and women. However, some women may experience it differently than men. They may get the feeling like squeezing or fullness, and the pain can be anywhere in the chest, not just on the left side. It is very discomforting but may be less severe than man.
Chronic pain in your arm(s), back, neck, or jaw - This symptom is more common in women than in men. The pain in the back can be felt on the gradual or sudden basis. This pain may vanish before becoming intense. If you're asleep, it may wake you up. You should report any "not typical or unexplained" symptoms in any part of your body above your waist to your doctor immediately to ensure early treatment.
Abdominal pain- Severe abdominal pressure that feels like an elephant sitting on your stomach may indicate a cardiac attack.
Shortness of breath- The feeling of nausea and trouble in breathing for no valid reason may indicate a heart attack especially if you're also having one or more other symptoms.
Sweating- Breaking out in a nervous, cold sweat is one of the most common symptoms of cardiac attack among women. It will feel more like stress-related sweating than perspiration from exercising or spending time outside in the heat.
Fatigue- When any women feel more than normal fatigue and feel extremely tired even if they've been sitting still for a while or haven't moved much it may be an indication of the heart attack.
For all the ladies out there we highly recommend that they should visit a doctor and take the cardiac treatment without any delay if they recognize any of the symptoms mentioned above.
