It is generally said that a woman’s body is more complicated than a man. And the reason is the hormones that play a crucial role in driving woman’s body. But many times, the changes in hormones make the life difficult for them and this is why it is recommended to keep a check on the signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalance.

In general, the symptoms of hormonal imbalance are very much familiar to women in the form of premenstrual syndrome or PMS, or menopause symptoms of hot flashes and/or night sweats, decreased libido, foggy thinking, fatigue, and/or weight gain especially in the things and waist. It is important to keep in mind that signs of estrogen control are less familiar but critical to the prevention of breast cancer.

What is a hormonal imbalance?

Our body naturally makes hormones to keep the body in function. Due to many reasons suchasimproper supply of nutrients, excessive stress and toxic exposure, these hormones get imbalanced and negatively affect a woman’s health. Let’s look at most commonly experienced symptoms of hormonal imbalance in women.

  • Irregular or missed periods - Rising irregularities in your period may indicate a disturbance in the hormonal activity that manages the menstruation. Most often, an imbalance between estrogen and progesterone and the adverse effects of the stress hormone, cortisol could become a cause.
  • Skin problems – Adult acne is found to be linked with the polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), a hormonal case that also leads to irregular or absent menstrual periods due to ovulation indiscretions.
  • Infertility - Women with PCOS often have extreme levels of androgens (including testosterone) along with insulin resistance. Both lead to augmented estrogen, along with deficiency of ovulation and infertility.
  • Weight gain – In many cases, weight and bodily changes are caused by hormonal imbalance. This can happen even if you've never had a weight issue earlier. Extreme stress and improper sleep increase abdominal fat that can be difficult to lose.
  • Irritability and/or mood swings: Experiencing out of control or overawed can be caused by unexpected changes in the balance of estrogen, testosterone, and progesterone or from adrenal stress disparities.
  • Fatigue - Fatigue can happen even in case of proper sleep, making women feel physically and emotionally stressed.

Thyroid inequities and chronic stress are the most probable contributors to this devastating symptom.

It is not always true that above symptoms might
indicatehormonal imbalance. Sometimes, there could be several other reasons behind the onset of these symptoms. For better analysis, it is strongly recommended to perform the tests at a reputed clinic and then move forward with the treatment.
