Most recently the actor playing the role of doctor Haathi in the famous comedy television show “Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma” lost his life due to sudden cardiac arrest.    


One of the most loved and renowned Bollywood actress Sridevi was found unconscious in her bathroom and when taken to the hospital was declared dead due to cardiac arrest.

Reema Lagoo

The famous actress Reema Lagoo aged 59 was found dead on 18 may morning due to the cardiac arrest.

The death of these celebrities came as a big shock for people their death was very sudden and completely unexpected.

Symptoms of Carrdiac Arrest

It is usually not possible for any person to detect the symptoms of cardiac arrest in advance. This is because these signs and indications are immediate and drastic. Some of the major symptoms of cardiac arrest include the following-

  • Sudden collapse
  • No pulse
  • No breathing
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Fatigue
  • Faintness

The major cause of sudden heart arrest is the abnormality in your heart rhythm (arrhythmia), the result of a problem with your heart's electrical system.  Sometimes your heart beats are extremely fast or slow which is harmless and momentary. However, in some cases, it can become serious and result in a complete stoppage in the function of the heart.  These irregular heartbeats are not developed in the normal person on their own.   2. Chronic physical stress due to an intense workout.
  3. Use of illegal drugs and alcohol.
  4. Sudden trauma to the chest

  • Excess consumption of alcohol i.e. more than two drinks a day.
  • Increased age increases your risk of developing cardiac arrest
  • The males are at a higher risk of dying with cardiac arrest than females. Men are two to three times more likely to experience sudden cardiac arrest as compared to females.
  • People using illegal drugs, such as cocaine or amphetamines are at an increased risk.
  • Nutritional imbalance comprising of low potassium or magnesium levels can be a major risk factor for cardiac arrest.
