We all are aware that an active life is necessary for keeping our brain and body healthy. Following a fitness regime can help us in pooling different ideas, making us more creative, reducing stress and increasing energy improving our overall performance. Despite knowing all these things most of the people are not taking any measures to stay fit. When it comes to following fitness regime, the excuse of a busy schedule is something everybody has.  Fitness is on the priority to be dropped out from the list of things to do on a busy day.  However, one thing that we must understand is only a fit person can make the desired contributions in his personal and professional life. Here are few things that you can do to stay fit despite a hectic schedule.

  1. Do what you love- You can only be motivated to do things you like and everybody cannot like everything.  So if you are not very fond of running or yoga it’s perfectly fine. There is no single exercise that you need to mandatorily undertake in order to stay fit. Work towards discovering your own likes and dislikes. Right now you may be skeptic about the form of exercises you like. So to choose the best try out different forms and select anyone based on your lifestyle, personality, and taste.
  2. Make a realistic plan- Just a video, something said by friends or family or a new crush is enough to motivate you for setting up and following a fitness plan for few days. But do you think you can take the unrealistic plans any far? Well, we all know the answer. It is important for you to set the practical goals in the beginning so that you can accomplish them. Thus, start with little things initially and move to advanced level after few days.
  3. Make a commitment to yourself- It is easy to make plans but the real work is to abide by it. Don’t find excuses like too much work to skip the workout. Set your priorities right and continuously remind yourself of the benefits of working out. Stick to the schedule made by you and leave everything else behind.
  4. Track your Performance-Will there be any use of studying if there will be no exams to measure the level of your learning.  The same thing is with exercise. It is important for you to make a note of durations of workout and the add ups in your workout sessions at the end of each week, month, and year. This will assist you in continuously monitoring your performance and identify areas for improvement. Moreover, the improved performance will keep you motivated.
  5. Work out on your way to work-Escape the elevators and accelerators instead make use of stairs as much as possible. It is an added advantage if your home is within walking, running, or biking distance of work, make use of this golden opportunity and stay active before reaching to your office.
  6. Start from something rather than nothing- You don’t need even a one full hour for an effective workout.Thirty minutes or even a less than 30-minute workout can help in making a difference. You can definitely take out this much time for yourself from a whole day of 24 hours. Also, instead of doing all work at one time you can opt for undertaking the exercises in breaks of 10 -10 minutes.


Even the Prime Minister of India Mr. Narender Modi emphasizes the importance of staying fit. So we believe you can’t be busier than him. Thus, stop making excuses and make exercising your topmost priority to live a happy and healthy life.
